Rich Kovacich, AAS
President / Faux Finisher
Richard Kovacich spent his early years growing up in the suburbs of Milwaukee. As early as kindergarten he gravitated toward drawing and painting, continuing through his university years at UWM and Marquette University.
At 19 he relocated to the upper west side of Manhattan where he absorbed many creative experiences including a formal and working education that only New York can offer.
With an AAS in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design, he engaged notable clients/projects that include CBS Television, Zaniz Corporation, and Broadway set designer David Mitchell.
He relocated to Arizona and with Felix Lagazo founded Faux Finishes in 1993, a full service faux finishing, custom painting, color and design consultation company. Not only is this the perfect marriage of art, design and creativity for them, but the demand for a color and finish professional is apparent.
With over 28 years of experience, Faux Finishes emerges as one of the professionals in Arizona that only dedication, sincerity, concern and creativity will allow. Notable projects include Desert Mountain public facilities, restaurants, model homes, and over 150 private residences. Others include Mirabel, Desert Highlands, Silverleaf, DC Ranch, Grayhawk, Estancia, Whisper Rock, “Boca 7” restaurant, Coronado Shores, Mountain Village residences at Telluride, model homes at Sonoran Foothills, Desert Ridge, and Desert Enclave.
